Guide to creating 3D designs using AI in Canva

Canva has recently added an option to create 3D designs using AI via your description. Users will describe what their 3D design should look like, similar to how you would describe creating an AI image in Canva . Canva will then analyze and create the 3D design for the user. Below is a guide on how to create 3D designs using AI in Canva.

 

How to create 3D designs using AI on Canva

Step 1:

We open a new design in Canva, then click on the Magic Content tool on the left side of the interface to use it.

Step 2:

At this point, you will see the text-based design tool. We select the 3D option to create a 3D model from the description using AI.

 

Step 3:

At this point, the user enters a description of the 3D design they want to create . You can enter a description for objects, characters, or any design you want to create in 3D. After entering the description, click "Create 3D Model" to proceed.

Step 4:

Immediately afterwards, you will have a 3D design created in Canva AI. If you are not satisfied with this design, you can re-enter the description and click Recreate below.

 

After creating your 3D design, click on the design to insert it into your Canva interface. When inserted into Canva, the 3D design will have icons that allow you to rotate it in different directions.

Step 5:

You can continue entering other descriptions to create 3D designs using AI in Canva.

Step 6:

When inserting 3D designs into Canva, there's an additional option to rotate the 3D model in various directions . Look to the left and you'll see options for the rotation direction of the 3D model. To revert to the default rotation direction of the 3D model, click "Reset Rotation ".

Additionally, when you click on Add Effect , you can add other effects to the 3D model using customizable sliders to apply the desired effects.
