HP puts the touch screen into the Pavilion line

Following the introduction of two high-end laptops, Envy 14, Envy 17 and the new ProBook series, HP also introduced two new Pavilion dv5, dm4 models and refreshed Pavilion dv6 and dv7 models.

In particular, Pavilion dv6 models will have 15.6-inch screen and multi-touch screen option. This model's storage capacity can also be up to 1TB with aluminum housing and still engraved with exclusive HP Imprint technology. Pavilion dv6 has an Intel Core i series or AMD processor option. The AMD chip version will cost starting at 530 USD, while the Intel chip model will be at 649 USD.

The Pavilion dv7 is more prominent with the option of a quad-core processor from AMD or Intel and an ATI discrete graphics card. It has a 17.3-inch screen, storage capacity up to 2TB with dual hard drive and subwoofer. Pavilion dv7 has a starting price of about 849 USD.

The new Pavilion dv5 has a similar design to the dv6 but doesn't have a touch screen. This model has a 14.5-inch screen, optional Intel Core i3, i5 or AMD Turion II processors and Intel's WiDi technology support. Pavilion dv5 has a starting price of about 649 USD.

The final model was introduced as dm4 with a thickness of only 2.5 cm, weighing approximately 2 kg. It has a rugged metal housing, the power comes from Intel Core i series processors for up to 6.5 hours of use. Pavilion dm4 has a starting price of about 729 USD.

All of the above models will be available on May 19 to the first in the US.
