How to turn off auto-fill forms on Chrome
There is a feature on Chrome that automatically fills out forms (AutoFill), which allows us to quickly enter personal information when regularly shopping online, registering an account, . When you work Entering account, personal information such as name, address, email, phone number, credit card, . will automatically be filled in the registration form, without having to enter manually as before.
However, this convenience can become a loophole for hackers to steal your important personal information. Hackers will import fake registration forms on a target website, causing the browser to mistakenly identify the real registration form and automatically fill in the information. At that time, users will also be mistaken and provide more information for hackers. Therefore, turning off the auto-fill feature on the browser is something users should do.
Step 1:
In Chrome browser, we click on the 3 dots icon on the top right of the interface and select Settings .
Step 2:
Next, scroll down and click on Show advanced settings .
Step 3:
Users scroll down to the interface below, you will see the Password and form . Please remove both options including Enabling AutoFill to fill out web forms with a single click and Propose to save your web password .
Next, click on the Password Manager option in the Proposal to save your web password as shown below.
The Password dialog box appears. Here, uncheck the Auto-login box so that the browser does not save any personal information. Finally click Finish at the bottom to save the changes. This is also one of the basic ways of securing social network accounts. Thus the information related to the account, including email address and password will not be saved, especially with Facebook when Facebook account theft occurs frequently.
This will partly help hackers hard to steal personal information of users, through the fact that we often log in to certain websites. Removing automatic login and password saving on browsers, including Chrome, is also encouraged to ensure personal privacy and security of user information.
