According to the latest statistics from analyst Net Applications, one in eight web surfers use Google Chrome.
Net Applications has conducted a survey on popular web browsers today including: Chrome, IE, Firefox, Opera, Safari. The results show that Google Chrome is the browser with the fastest growth rate since October 2009.

According to Cnet, Chrome's market share increased sharply from 11.9% in April to 12.5% in May.
Meanwhile, IE's market share decreased relatively strong, from 55.1% to 54.3%. Firefox and Safari both increased 0.1%. In contrast, Opera (version 5) dropped 0.1% to 2.0%.
In May, Firefox 4 saw a significant increase compared to previous versions. Specifically, Firefox 4's market share has now reached 10.1% of users (compared with 9.1% of previous versions of Firefox 3.6).
The release of Microsoft IE9 in March may be considered a new competitive effort by this software giant. Net Applications said IE9's own user base has increased from 2.4% in April to 4.2% in May.
IE9 is currently being tested by Microsoft in Windows Phone 7 operating system for smartphones. While Chrome is not yet in the Android Market repository so far. Did Google have another option for the Android operating system?
