Free application that helps you manage your Macbook battery more effectively
Battery Toolkit is the best free app I've found for MacBook battery management.
Macbooks have a few built-in features to ensure battery life. The device will automatically shut down when it overheats because high temperatures reduce battery life and performance. Additionally, your MacBook will also charge more slowly when the battery reaches 80% if it thinks you don't need a full charge. While these features are good enough for most people, there are a number of battery management apps that give you better control over your MacBook's battery health.
Battery Toolkit is the best free app I've found for MacBook battery management. It allows you to keep your MacBook battery at a charge level between two preset values, helping to prevent overcharging the battery.
Also stops charging MacBook even when plugged in. Force MacBook to charge to 100% (this feature is usually paid on top of other apps).
These battery management features are especially useful for people who frequently use their MacBook while plugged in. Many people use MacBooks in closed mode, connected to a separate screen, keyboard and mouse. In this case, plugging and unplugging multiple times to avoid overcharging the battery is quite inconvenient. The Battery Toolkit application will help you manage this automatically.
How to install Battery Toolkit on MacBook
Download Battery Toolkit from the GitHub page using the link below

Your Macbook may prevent you from installing the app because it's not from a famous developer, but you can rest assured that it's safe.
- Step 1: Now go to System Settings > Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway to install the application.
- Step 2: Set up the app for optimal battery management
- Step 3: After launching the application, set it up to your liking. Click the Battery Toolkit icon on the top menu bar and select Settings.
- Step 4: Go to the Power tab and set the minimum and maximum percentage values. This way, the MacBook will start charging when it reaches the minimum value and stop charging when it reaches the maximum value.
- Step 5: For example, you can set your MacBook battery to remain between 30% and 80%, but if you want you can choose the values that best suit your usage. Click OK (Confirm) when finished.
Note: The application does not allow to set the minimum battery level below 20% and the maximum limit for maximum charge is 50%. This is to avoid damaging the battery.

The Battery Toolkit icon in the menu bar will allow you to: Temporarily stop charging your MacBook while it's plugged in by turning on Disable Power Adapter.
Charging to full: Force your MacBook to charge to 100%, use when you know you won't be near an outlet for an extended period of time.
Charging to maximum: Charge the battery to the upper limit you set in the app.
