On June 21, Bahati, a 31-year-old male chimp, lived with herds in a 1.2-hectare barn in Kansas Zoo, USA, falling to the ground while climbing a tree. Only a few seconds later, nearly a dozen chimpanzees were in the same enclosure around and began to fight the Bahati council.
Harry Miller, a guest recorded that heartbreaking scene.
After the incident, Sean Putney, executive director of Kansas Zoo, announced that Bahati fell to the ground from a height of 9-15 m and died from internal injuries after being hit by the council. But the cause of Bahati's goal to be attacked by the whole herd has not yet been determined.
