Wild rabbits fight like martial artists to 'recruit husbands'
This is a unique way for female rabbits to choose the strongest male to ensure their next generation has the strongest gene.
Alister Kemp, a passionate photographer from Scotland's Evanton, was fortunate enough to capture the " husband recruitment " of wild rabbits at Cairngorms National Park.
It looks like this is a quite violent method when both sides rush into each other and constantly launch slaps like boxing fighters' fierce matches. When it comes to breeding season, the female hare will fight the males that want to mate to find the healthiest, worthy of being the father of their children.
But before entering this round, the male rabbits had to overcome the endurance challenge in the race with the female rabbits. The weak ones will be left behind, only the healthiest ones will enter the boxing ring directly with the children.
Different from males capable of reproducing all year round, the breeding season of wild rabbits only lasts from January to August. The wild rabbit is extremely fertile, right after giving birth to a baby. was able to be ready to take the next election with another "candidate" waiting in line.
