Fake courier service to spread viruses
Hacker hides e-mail carriers to trick users. There have been 7,500 computers in Vietnam infected with this virus.
On May 4, Bkav Security Company announced that in April, Vietnamese email users received spam messages impersonating world-famous courier companies such as DHL and Post Express.

Accordingly, these e-mails contain the following content: 'The parcel has been sent to your home, after 3 days you will receive it. Information and receipt number viewed in the attached file '.
When extracting the attached file, users will see .doc text files or .pdf files. However, it is the malicious code hidden under the icon (icon) above files.
Mr. Vu Ngoc Son, Director of Research Department of Bkav (Bkav R&D) said: ' Most computers for default mode do not display the file extension. Moreover, the file's icon is a normal text file, so users are easily fooled. '
According to Bkav, at least 7,500 computers in Vietnam are infected with this courier virus. When activated, the virus will control the computer, threaten to extort or turn the infected computer into a spam engine to other computers.
Therefore, Bkav recommends that computer users set up a file extension to easily distinguish malicious files.
According to Bkav, in April 2011, there were at least 182 websites of agencies and enterprises in Vietnam being hacked by, including 6 cases caused by domestic hackers, 176 cases by foreign hackers. .
April has 3,324 new computer virus lines appeared in Vietnam. These viruses infected over 5,871,000 computers. The most contagious virus in the past month was W32.AutoRunUSB.Worm that infected over 310,000 computers.
