CS:GO 2 information, Counter Strike 2 information

There have been some rumors saying that Counter-Strike 2 might be coming soon. Richard Lewis, a well-known journalist and caster in the Counter-Strike community, claims to have obtained evidence from multiple sources that Valve is getting ready to release a new version of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive in the near future and The beta will probably be out as early as this March or in April.

Most likely the name of this project will be Counter-Strike 2 and not Counter-Strike Global Offensive 2 and has been in development for a long time. Lewis mentions that Counter-Strike 2 is a priority for Valve and is one of the reasons why the current version of CS:GO has barely been "cared for" for a long time.

According to these sources, Counter-Strike 2 will run on the Source 2 engine, and that move "will improve the game's optimization and graphic realism." It is also said to be quite similar to Valorant, the 128-tick server, which is a number that describes how fast the game's server can process information.

 

The matchmaking system will also be improved in this new version, and Valve hopes that third-party services will not be so necessary to connect multiplayer together in a more efficient way.

According to sources, Counter-Strike 2 is about to be released, but it is still unclear what this new version means for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and how it will compete with the current version of CS GO. in. As Lewis mentioned, Dota 2 has moved to Source 2 with a new version called Dota 2 Reborn and co-exists with the original. In the end, the two versions merged into one.

Another piece of evidence that might suggest this rumor is true coming from Gabe Follower 2, who revealed that the latest NVIDIA driver "introduced support for unknown game files called 'csgos2. exe' and 'cs2.exe.'"

Gabe Follower 2 has also said that they have very reliable information that Valve has been testing CS:GO under Source 2 with the help of third-party QA companies in the US and EU since at least the beginning of December.
