The Counter Strike: Global Offensive universe is rightly considered the most popular in the world of eSports. Every day the game is played by millions of users around the world.

For more than 20 years since the creation of the first version of the game a lot of new variants have been created. The most popular for the target version were 1.6 and Global Offensive. In them, players were available to dozens of locations where they could play against bots and against other players. Speaking of maps, Dust2 has always been liked by gamers. The atmosphere of the Arab world and the opportunity to use different strategies led to the fact that for a long time this map was the most adapted to the needs of the target audience.

Going back to CS:GO, there have been several major updates during the ten years of the game's existence, Dust2. The latest version is dominated by yellow. You can not say that one team has a nominal advantage. Because, equal teams tend to score six to nine rounds per side. Interestingly, previously very popular were firefights in the center of the map. Teams could eliminate several opponents already in the first few seconds. In order to reduce the likelihood of early collision, the developers decided to add obstacles.

For the player to get the best results, he needs to learn the basic Dust2 Callouts. Most of the titles came in 2023 back from version 1.6. Despite the fact that the developers decided to remove the location from the official mappool, gamers continue to choose it, both in classic matchmaking and on the FaceIt platform. This mainly concerns newcomers who first learned the name of the positions on the most popular map, and then decided to play it exclusively to have a good title.

If we talk about the names of the main positions, it is worth noting the following:

  1. 1. T Spawn, CT Spawn. These are the areas where teams start each round. They are not isolated, and therefore these spots are often where team skirmishes take place.
  2. 2. A Site, B Site. These are terrorist bomb plotting points. As statistics show, the attacking side more often tries to go to the A Site. This is due to the fact that the B Zone is more protected and has fewer passages to it.
  3. 3. Short and Long. Two possible approaches to the A Site. Professional teams try to use both ways to take their opponents by surprise. The use of grenades, especially smoke grenades, is extremely important here. They can be used to cut off a certain area of the map.
  4. 4. This is the central part of the map. Most often, it is used by snipers. Perhaps this is the most important part of the map. The team that controls it controls the whole game globally.
  5. 5. A Ramp. The ascent to A Site. You can get to this point through Long. Terrorists need to make sure it's not that easy to get there.
  6. 6. Long Door. This is the exit from T Spawn to Long. Terrorists try to throw a flash-bang grenade before entering this area to make it harder for the enemies to defend themselves.
  7. 7. If the attacking team was able to pass to Long, the sniper should definitely jump to the Pit. From there will be an open view to the A Site.
  8. 8. A closed point, where as a rule there is one of the counter-terrorists at the A Site. Interestingly, there is a large picture of a goose at this point.
  9. 9. Upper Tunnels, Lower Tunnels. Two areas located in close proximity to B Site. Terrorists tend to spend a lot of time there.
  10. 10. B Window. This is the hole that is located at the B Site. Usually used by snipers.

Overall, Dust2 continues to be a popular map for players. Accordingly, learning the name of the positions will be the right decision. Read more about CS:GO and other PC Games news on site.
