Fixing the Backspace key on Windows 10 can only delete 1 character:
To fix the Backspace key on Windows 10 only 1 character can be deleted, follow the steps below:
Step 1:
Click the Start button to open the Settings window or alternatively press the Windows + I key combination to open the Settings window.
Step 2:
On the Settings window, click Ease of access.
Step 3:
Next in the left pane of the window, find and click Keyboard.
Step 4:
Finally, find and switch the Filter Keys option to OFF .
You can now easily delete consecutive characters by pressing the Backspace key.
