What causes the A20 Error error?

Error A20 Error is reported when it detects problems with the keyboard or keyboard controller placed on the motherboard. Although the A20 error may be related to something else, often this happens very rarely. In short, just see the A20 Error, think about the keyboard.

How to fix A20 Error?

Turn off the computer if it is on.

If using a USB keyboard, try changing the connection port.

If using a standard keyboard, remove the keyboard connector (connector) that is connected to the case.

Check to see if the pins on the keyboard connector are curled and if so, try to gently fix it. Clean plugged dirt on the connector pins. Use a paper clip or pen to bend the pins to a position where you feel more straight. Then try plugging in the keyboard again.

Check if the pins on the keyboard connector are broken or burnt. If so, you must replace the new keyboard.

Check the connection port on the computer that you use to plug the broken, burned keyboard. If so, this port cannot be used anymore. Although the keyboard connection port is on the motherboard, you do not need to buy a new motherboard to fix the A20 Error error but just buy a USB keyboard instead.

If the above steps haven't found the error yet, try installing another keyboard that still works in the machine and try restarting. The A20 Error error disappears, indicating that the keyboard is broken, buy another one instead.

As a last resort, if the keyboard, the jack, the connection port are no problem, there may be a problem with the keyboard driver on the motherboard. In this case, only replacing the motherboard can solve the problem.

Also, check that the control chip is in the right place, try pressing it slightly deeper.
