Asus Ultrabook will start selling tomorrow.

Introduced in May, the UX21 and UX31 are the first models to demonstrate Intel's definition of ultrabook with ultra-slim design, good configuration and attractive price. Since then, many computer manufacturers have launched their ultrabook models like Acer with Aspire S3, Lenovo and Toshiba Z830.

However, Asus showed that it continues to be the leading company when yesterday officially launched and renamed its ultrabook line to Zenbook and started selling right from the first day in the US market. Prices start from 999 USD for UX21 models and USD 1,099 for UX31 models.

UX21 and UX31 are both more powerful than the MacBook Air at the same price range.

The Zenbook UX21 and UX31 all have an aluminum alloy case, glass trackpad, metal keyboard and weights of 1.08 and 1.3 kg, respectively. Other specifications are also very attractive including 4 GB RAM, USB 3.0, Bluetooth 4.0, SATA III standard SSD (starting capacity of 128 GB), stereo speakers with Bang & Olufsen.

The 11-inch model will have a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels while the 13-inch model will reach 1,600 x 900 pixels. Asus promises UX21 will have a 5-hour or 7-day battery while UX31 is 7 hours or 10 days waiting with a charge.

Talking to reporters in August last, representatives of Asus Vietnam also confirmed, the price of ultrabook will be less than 1,000 USD, equivalent to 20 million in the domestic market but it is unclear when the machine will sell.
