AsusPro B9 has a shell made from magnesium alloy. According to Asus, although the AsusPro B9 is thin and light, its durability is still up to MIL-STD 810G military standard.

The device is equipped with an infrared camera, supporting face unlock access with Windows Hello. To achieve light weight for AsusPro B9, Asus is forced to cut down on the battery. The device is only equipped with a modest capacity of 33Wh.

However, users can choose the AsusPro B9 version with battery capacity of 66Wh but then the weight of the machine will be increased to 990g.

Price and timing of this model has not been announced by Asus.

Besides the world's lightest laptop AsusPro B9, Asus introduces the world's first 300Hz gaming laptop in the world and the ProArt StudioBook series aimed at graphic users at IFA 2019 taking place in Germany.
