Apple reduced the price of MacBook Pro Retina and MacBook Air, upgraded the configuration

Cnet technology site said Apple has lowered the price of MacBook Pro with Retina display along with MacBook Air. The reduction ranges from 100 to 300 USD but comes with upgraded specifications.

Accordingly, the MacBook Pro with 13-inch Retina will be sold for $ 1,499 (about 31 million), down $ 200. Meanwhile, the version is equipped with 256 GB memory now costing 1,699 USD (equivalent to 36 million), 300 USD lower than before. The processor clock speed is increased from 2.5GHz to 2.6GHz.

Although the MacBook Pro with a 15-inch Retina is not upgraded, the configuration is upgraded. The low-end version has increased the processor speed to 2.4GHz compared to the previous 2.3GHz. In particular, the high-end version is doubled to 16 GB of RAM, along with quad-core chips that are accelerated from 2.6 GHz to 2.7 GHz.

So far, the MacBook Pro with Retina screen has always been a high-end product that only a few customers can afford. The 13-inch MacBook Pro's junior has a much lower starting price, at $ 1,199 (equivalent to 25 million). The purpose of Apple's discount this time may be because sales of iPad tablets have affected the profit earned from the Mac laptop line.
