Security firm Sophos discovered a new Trojan program: Arhiveus.a, which encrypts all files in the 'My Documents' folder after it infects the computer. When a user attempts to access the file in this directory, a notification appears and warns of consequences if the victim seeks to notify the authorities.
The culprit asked the victim to buy at one of the three online drug stores before providing them with a 30-character password to decrypt. This is the third Trojan program in the form of 'ransom software' to appear this year.
