At 2.3kg, the Timeline Ultra M3 is heavier than other Ultrabooks and ultra-thin laptops. However, with a 15-inch size, the weight of Timeline Ultra M3 is also acceptable. By comparison, Samsung's 14-inch Ultrabook weighs 1.8kg and Dell XPS 15z-laptop is ultra-thin but not Ultrabook, weighing 2.54kg.

The M3 has a slim design of Ultrabook when it is only 2cm thick. Despite its slim body, the M3 is still fully equipped with a laptop's hardware such as a DVD optical drive and even a discrete Nvidia GeForce GT640M graphics card with 1GB video memory. Meanwhile, most of the current Ultrabooks often cut down optical drives to ensure thinness for the device.

In addition to the DVD drive, M3 also features a hybrid hard drive of 500GB capacity, interlacing traditional hard to store data and solid-state drive to speed up the boot.

The addition of discrete graphics cards will really appeal to gamers. Products equipped with 15.6-inch screen resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. Along with DVD drives, discrete graphics cards and large screens will make the M3 an attractive multimedia entertainment laptop.

According to Acer, the product can run continuously for 8 hours to charge and sold to the market for $ 1,035.
