In mid-March, Acer has launched a new entertainment laptop line called Gemstone Blue, with two models of Aspire 8920G (18.4 inch) and Aspire 6920 (16 inch) integrated Blu-ray optical drive.

Taiwanese computer company expressed their confidence in the success of this product line, when recently, Acer Chairman Scott Lin, personally, said that the target that this company set for 2008 is to consume 22 million laptops, of which no less than 10% are integrated Blu-ray drives. In April alone, Acer hopes to sell 40,000 Aspire 8920G and 70,000 Aspire 6920.
