What does the new Android update do? Android Nougat is the most used OS version
According to the latest update from Google, Android 7.0 Nougat has officially become the most used version of Android mobile operating system, running on 28.5% of devices (including 7.0 and 7.1 versions).
The above figure is only slightly higher than the Android version with 28.1% of machines using Android 6.0 Marshmallow (released in 2015).
The latest OS update from Google at the end of last year Android 8.0 Oreo only ranked 6th with 1.1% of devices. However, this number is also improved compared to only 0.2% in October 2017.
Every time the software is updated, Android has many problems. Usually when you buy a new phone, the software version is always an available OS. But Nougat - an update that is more than one and a half years old, dominates the position on most Android devices, clearly showing its popularity.

Google updates Android but is hardly attractive to users
If you compare with the number of iOS users, you'll notice a big difference. It is true that there are also many people (28%) using iOS 10, the OS version released near the time of Nougat release. But that number is nothing compared to 65% of devices running the latest iOS 11 version.
Obviously Google has a lot of work to do every time they want to update the new mobile OS.
