According to an unnamed source, Korea Herald said that this smartwatch (likely named Gear 3) will be sold with the upcoming phablet model Galaxy Note 4. As planned, the Note 4 will be available. Officially announced in September.

Last year, both the Galaxy Note 3 and the first Galaxy Gear smartwatch were announced at the IFA event in September, so it's no surprise that Samsung will repeat this schedule this year. Only the product is newer models only.

It is unclear what features the Gear 3 will have, but according to PhoneArena 's speculation, maybe this device will continue to install the Tizen operating system, like Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo , instead of the Android Wear operating system. Google recently launched exclusively for wearable devices in April.

It is worth mentioning that the first Android Wear smartwatch series is also about to land, with LG G Watch expected to go on sale in June. Some sources say the watch will support both SIM cards, meaning users will be able to call, text without relying on the phone like Samsung's smartwatch lines.

The battle on smartwatch market is getting hot as recently, HTC is rumored to be developing a smartwatch model of its own. Besides, there is a possibility that Microsoft and Nokia will also join.

In addition to introducing Gear 3, Samsung may launch a new product called Gear 2 Solo. In form, Gear 2 Solo will be quite similar to Gear 2, but like LG G Watch, it will probably support SIM card. This smartwatch model will probably be announced in Korea and in the US right in July.

However, Samsung does not turn away from Google's Android Wear operating system. Information experts said the Korean giant is also developing a watch model based on this platform to launch later this year.
