In the previous two generations, Samsung launched not one but two S-series smartphones. This year will have Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. Both smartphones will have Edge screens, with more front-facing space for the display. Therefore, the screen size is larger but overall the device is not much bigger than previous versions.
South Korea's ET News website said to serve users' needs for S8, 12.5 will be produced in March and April. Of those 12.5 million, 7.1 million are 5.8 inch version, 5.4 million version is 6.2 inch. These figures will show that the S8 is more capable of selling than the Galaxy S7 (10 million S7 sold in the first 20 days of sale).
IHS research director in China, Kevin Wang wrote on Weibo that the S8 version of 6GB of RAM will be available only in China, the global version will only have 4GB of RAM.
S8 and S8 Plus will have 5 different colors: Black (Black), Orchid Gray (Purple), Silver (Silver), Blue (Blue) and Maple Gold (Gold).
The Galaxy S8 will officially go on sale on April 21 in the US, but Samsung has launched a pre-order program to support customers as well as offer other parts of its technology. This program will start on March 30.

The S8 has some common features like IP86 certification (water resistance) and a fingerprint scanner. The operating system of Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will be Android Nougat 7.0.
Apple removed the headphone jack with iPhone 7, but Samsung did not do so with S8. Although, the S8 will have a C-type USB port, but it also comes with a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Processor:
Both Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will use Samsung's Exynos 8895 chip. However, for the US, Japanese and Chinese versions, these two phones will be replaced by Snapdragon 835 chips.
Snapdragon 835 is produced on 10 minutes of FinFET technology of Samsung. The 8-core processor will be 20% faster and 25% more efficient than the Snapdragon 820 version. This CPU has 4 processor cores operating at speeds up to 2.45 GHz and 4 cores running at 1.6 GHz . The Adreno 540 graphics card also promises to improve performance by up to 25% and support HDR.
For the S8 version sold in other markets, it is rumored that it has an Exynos 8895 or 9810 processor. Using different processors in different markets is not surprising. with this giant Samsung mobile phone company.
RAM and internal memory:
Samsung Galaxy S8 will have 4GB RAM and will have a 6GB version in Korea and China. S8 and S8 Plus have no mutations in RAM or internal memory. Specifically, S8 and S8 Plus will have 64 GB of internal memory, connected to the fast UFS 2.1 interface. MicroSD slot is still available, there may also be a variant with 128 GB memory. S8 will be preloaded with Samsung's new virtual assistant Bixby (similar to Siri on iOS). Bixby is different from other virtual assistants because it will be a third party open platform. Bixby runs on many devices like appliances, accessories and becomes the control center for your smart home. Bixby may include some very interesting features such as Samsung Pay support, integration with installed applications, an intuitive search tool and OCR optical character recognition for use on cameras.
Bixby will have a camera button attached, allowing access to the search engine to handle whatever the camera is pointing at. Bixby will analyze images, identify objects or text. Bixby will even help you search for an object, or use OCR to handle any text you put into your phone. In addition, Bixby can support 7 to 8 languages, surpassing the language capabilities of AI competitors such as Google Assistant.
Samsung is working hard to compete with Microsoft's Continuum when it comes to PC mode. This technology will allow smartphones to expand their screens to external monitors and use peripherals such as keyboards and mice, which will act like a desktop computer.
The S8 and S8 Plus will have an iris scanner. This scanner provides additional level of unadulterated security and API that allows 3rd party applications to use this iris scanner to open sensitive files. Camera for scanning iris on S8 will have 3.7 MP resolution.
Fingerprint scanner on both Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will be located at the back and side of the device's Camera, supporting unlocking as well as opening some specific applications by fingerprint.
S8 will have facial recognition feature. This security feature adds convenience because it takes less than 0.01 seconds to unlock the phone. Face recognition will be done via a device located on the front of the phone.
