After Sony, Samsung has also made moves that it wants to leave the laptop market that is in the decline phase.
Samsung will focus on mobile phones and home appliances.
Samsung will stop selling laptops in most major European markets, according to PC Advisor. In a speech to a German blog site, WP Area, a Samsung spokesman also said that he had withdrawn all laptop sales channels in the country. The decision was quite unexpected from the Korean manufacturer, including notebooks running Windows and Chromebooks.
However, Samsung also affirmed the move did not affect the future of many other markets in the world. The company also left the possibility of returning despite being quite cautious.
Samsung's decision made a lot of regret for the laptop village but in fact it was not too surprising. Earlier, Sony sold its Vaio laptop parts earlier this year while Toshiba also announced plans to reduce computer-related activities in the consumer sector.
In Vietnam, Samsung has long not offered any new laptop models and is also absent on the shelves of many supermarkets or computer stores. However, the company has not released an official statement about this business. Meanwhile, Sony has left Vietnam market and Toshiba Vietnam no longer directly manages the sale and import of domestic computers.
