Prosecuting lawsuits over 14,000 mobile phones

Investigation agencies have just prosecuted the case to clarify criminal acts in the eavesdropping of more than 14,000 mobile accounts.

Test results show that, from June 2013, the company developed and provided software services with mobile phone monitoring function, including 2 packages: for individuals ( called Ptracker ) and for businesses ( called PtrackerERP ). These software only support Android operating system.

Features, installation process, using the above software are as follows: When users need to use the software, Viet Hong company will install the software and try it for 24 hours. The user will hold the phone to monitor and download the website address or compose the DV syntax message to the 8189 number to get the download link.

When the software is downloaded, users install the software themselves, then the system will return the username ( the last 7 digits of the monitored IMEI phone ) and the initial default password is vhc.vn.

All data such as contacts, messages, outgoing calls, incoming calls, surrounding audio recording, images, videos, site access history statistics, travel routes, current location The monitored device will be saved by the software and pushed to the server after only 5 - 10 minutes.

After that, users only need to log into Viet Hong company website to review all information of the monitored device. The software has the ability to issue remote control commands such as recording around, listening to sounds around, recording videos, taking photos, toggling 3G / GPRS .

After 24 hours, if the user wants to continue using Viet Hong's software, they will have to transfer money to one of the 3 bank accounts of Nguyen Viet Hung or load the phone scratch card and Internet banking code. The amount of money transferred depends on the time package: 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months or permanent package. Usage fee is VND 400,000 / month.

In order to attract customers to use the service, Viet Hong Company has published information related to these software products on some social networking sites.

Since providing the software package, Viet Hong Company has 14,140 accounts of software used. In particular, the number of accounts still stored in Viet Hong's server is 7447 accounts. There are currently about 600 accounts with software usage period. Estimating the amount of money Viet Hong Company gained from software business is about VND 900 million.
