Netbooks will be killed in 2015

Small notebooks, also known as netbooks, once used to be stormy will no longer appear on the market since 2015, according to market research firm IHS iSuppli.

Cnet, which cites sources of iSuppli , said the netbook was previously considered a post-PC switch device and the launch of Apple's iPad tablet is believed to be the main cause of the extinction netbook.

iSuppli said computer makers are ready to stop producing netbooks. However, they are said to still have limited offers, or simply hand over the rest to meet contracts for customers.

In 2013, netbook shipments were forecast to be 3.97 million units, down 72% from 14.13 million units in 2012. Meanwhile, the number of netbooks sold in the market reached was recorded 32.14 million devices in 2010.

iSuppli believes that netbooks sold in 2014 will fall to only 264,000 before disappearing in 2015.

Analyst Craig Stice commented, netbooks quickly became popular as soon as they were launched thanks to cheap advantages, bringing the trust of many users thanks to acceptable performance. However, this product line has lost its advantage because of the advent of the iPad not long after that in 2010.

Obviously netbooks are not really powerful computers like laptops, but anyway this is a suitable choice for technology users who need only a mobile device good enough to work. These devices cannot compete with the tablet for portability and convenience.
