MSI unveiled a laptop running Sandy Bridge
Computer maker MSI has just released some of the first laptops and motherboards to use Intel's new Sandy Bridge processor.
Taiwan's Micro-Star International (MSI) technology company "unveiled" some of the first laptops and motherboards to use Intel's new processor, formerly codenamed Sandy Bridge.
MSI introduces 16 new notebook models, including a number of laptops for users of 2nd generation Core i7 processors, MSI GT780, GT680, GE620 and GR620. The G series laptops, priced at about $ 1,000 on motherboards and MSI Turbo Drive Engine for overclocking.
In particular, GT680 is the best laptop, with 15.6-inch screen, Nvidia GeForce GTX 500 Series graphics and 400 Series support DirectX 11, and integrated Dynaudio speakers. GT680 will be released in January 2011, priced at about $ 1,499. GT780 is a laptop with a large screen size, 17.3 inches, will be released in the second quarter of 2011.
The F series laptops are aimed at consumers, business people and those who love performance. The F-series notebook uses Core 2 i5 or Core i7 with a price of about 700-900 USD. The C series laptops have long battery life and are equipped with fast battery charging technology, which will cost about 500-700 USD
MSI also introduced 11 desktop motherboards using Intel's Core 2 processor. These motherboards use Intel P67 chips.
Another remarkable product of MSI at the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2011) is the tablet. MSI said it will "unveil" five tablets using Google's Android mobile operating system or Microsoft Windows online.
