According to technology news website Cnet , two sources close to Apple revealed that the company is planning to upgrade its MacBook Air product line with Intel's Sandy Bridge processor this summer.

If it is true, this is Apple's significant innovation to the well-known product line in terms of 'battery' and 'ultra-slim' design. Currently, the MacBook Air is only equipped with two processors of Intel's Core 2 Duo cores.

Accordingly, the latest generation of MacBook Air was introduced by Apple in October 2010, while Apple often has a habit of updating its products every 9 or 12 months.

Thus, most likely, MacBook Air will be equipped with SandyBridge processors in June or July this year.
