Microsoft issues an urgent warning to users of Windows 10 versions 1909 and 20H2

Both versions will officially enter the end-of-life phase from the May 2022 security update, scheduled to be released on May 10. At that time, users will no longer receive any essential software, security, and support updates.

This makes their systems vulnerable to cyber attacks as well as problems related to operating system stability and compatibility. Therefore, Microsoft recommends that users of the above versions of Windows 10 need to upgrade their systems immediately if possible, especially for systems that are often connected to the internet. New versions of Windows come with more comprehensive support, better security, and a better user experience.

1909 is the second major feature update of Windows 10 in 2019, focusing on improving the features available in the 1903 update, as well as improving the overall performance of the system. This update has received many positive reviews from the user community since its launch. Similarly, Windows 10 20H2 (also known as Windows 10 October 2020 Update) is also a successful major feature update of Microsoft in 2020, bringing users many new and useful features.

Currently, there are still a large number of Windows 11 users on older systems that are still running on these 2 versions of Windows 10. Therefore, Microsoft's update warning plays an extremely necessary role.

The latest version of Windows 10 is 21H2, which has been available since November 2021.
