Lenovo 'boldly' upgraded ThinkPad Edge

Yesterday, computer maker Lenovo officially introduced two extended versions of the young ThinkPad Edge line with screen sizes of 14 and 15 inches.
In addition to the same hardware and options configurations, the two new models are almost the only difference in screen size. ThinkPad Edge 14 will own a standard 14-inch HD mirror screen resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels while the ThinkPad Edge 15 will have anti-glare screen of 15.6 inch size resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.

The new Edge models will be equipped with an Intel HD graphics chip with up to 1.7 GB of shared memory or an integrated discrete graphics card from an AMD manufacturer with integrated processors, Intel Core i5 430M (32 nm technology) 3MB cache, clocked at 2.26 GHz (can increase to a maximum of 2.53 GHz with Turbo Boost technology), 4GB DDR3 RAM memory, 250 GB hard drive or 320 GB hard drive. The built-in optical drive also has two options: DVD / Blu-ray / read / write drive.
Along with popular connections like Wi-Fi standard b / g / n, Bluetooth 2., this duo also has a module for connecting 3G or 4G networks. Other connector ports are also integrated such as HDMI, VGA, four USB 2.0 ports (one of which is USB / eSATA combo), 2 Megapixel camera and 7-type memory card reader.

ThinkPad Edge 14 and ThinkPad Edge 15 are preinstalled with Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit operating system or Windows 7 Professional 64bit. Lenovo also announced that the 14-inch model will weigh 2.22 kg while the 15-inch model will be 2.5 kg. Time to use the machine continuously for about 4 hours 30 minutes continuously with 6 cell battery included
In addition to the multi-touch touchpad like the previous 13-inch model, Lenovo's two new products are also equipped with fingerprint recognition.
ThinkPad Edge 14 and 15 have started selling with a starting price of 649 USD.
