Overcoming Windows 7, Windows 10 is rated as the best Windows version in terms of security
According to a new study of Webroot about malware in 2017, Windows 10 is the best Windows version in terms of security. This research firm's report shows a significant difference between malware on Windows 7 and Windows 10.
According to Webroot's report, in 2017 only 15% of the files identified as malware appeared on Windows 10 while on Windows 7 was 63%. On average, there are 0.04 malware files on a Windows 10 device, which is half the number of 0.08 on Windows 7.
Also in the report Webroot also pointed out that for ordinary users, Windows 10 is two times more secure than Windows 7. Specifically, on a Windows 10 device used in the family of malware is only 0.07 And on Windows 7 it is 0.16 and on Windows XP this index is 0.17.
The attack on WannaCry on Windows devices last year has crippled nearly 200,000 computers in more than 100 countries worldwide, causing losses of $ 4 billion to businesses. Victims of this attack are mostly devices running Windows 7, while there is no effect on Windows 10.
