Preparing to build a house

Search for a location where you want to build a house. Although you can build a house anywhere in Minecraft, perhaps the best way to start the game is to find a high location (such as a hill or mountain) with a lot of flat land around it. The less bushes you have to clear, the faster you can build your house.

Usually you will need an open area of ​​about 10x10 blocks.

Creates a crafting table. You will need a crafting table to craft a bed, but first you should collect the materials to make the bed.

Manufacturing beds . A bed is essential because sleeping in it allows you to both have a safe night and establish a respawn spot; meaning if you die while gathering essentials, you will respawn at your bed. To make a bed, you need:

Kill three sheep and chop a block of wood.

Turn the wooden block into four wooden planks.

Place three wool blocks of the same color in the top row of the crafting table and three wooden planks in the middle row, then get the bed (in Minecraft PE or the console version, you just need to open the crafting table and Select the colored bed icon).

Place the bed on the ground. You need at least two empty blocks to place the bed.

Create a temporary sleeping area. Mine about 20 blocks of dirt and use it to create a wall at least two blocks high at the head of the bed and around the bed. This is a step to prevent monsters from attacking you while you sleep.

If the bed is located one block away from a higher-than-normal block layer, the wall in that spot must be one block higher to compensate.

Before going to bed, you need to build a wall around it.

If you are playing "Peaceful" mode, you do not need to create a temporary sleeping place because monsters will not bother you during the night.

Sleep in bed at nightfall. As soon as the sky outside darkens, you need to go to your sleeping area and select the bed using the right mouse button (on personal computers), the left Trigger button (on handheld game consoles) or touch (on Minecraft PE). ). This is the step that will help you sleep through the night. When you wake up, it will be morning again and your bed will become a place of resurrection.

Craft some tools. If you intend to build a house with any materials other than dirt, you will need the following tools to expedite the process:

Pickaxe - Required to mine stone, coal and other ores.

Shovel - Needed for quickly digging soil, sand, clay and gravel.

Ax - Used to quickly chop wood (and peel wood)

Create a chest to store items. Open the crafting table, place wood planks in every square except the center one (there are eight in total), then select the newly created chest and move it to the inventory.

In Minecraft PE or console edition, you need to select the crafting table and then select the chest icon.

Place the chest on the ground, then put the extra item in it. Since there's a real risk that you might die once or twice while searching for ingredients, it's better to put as many extra ingredients in your chest as possible. When you're only carrying the essentials, you're ready to start gathering materials to build a house.

For example: If there are two of each tool, you should put one in the chest.

Building

Decide on materials to build the main house. Cobblestone, wood, and dirt are all good building materials, but cobblestone is the most durable and one of the more popular blocks.

Depending on the location of the house, you can also use sandstone.

Avoid building a house with gravel or sand, as both materials are perishable and will not be able to stay in place without supporting blocks right underneath.

Consider gathering spare ingredients. Materials like wood and sandstone can be used when designing a detailed house, so you should keep an eye on them while gathering your main materials.

Collect necessary ingredients. You should have at least a complete stack (with a maximum of 64) of the same type of materials you want to use, but more complex builds will require more materials, depending on what you want to use. What kind of house do you want to build?

If you're in a hilly area, you may need to dig down or venture into a more hilly area to look for rocks.

It's likely that you'll come across coal (gray rock with dark spots) and iron (gray rock with light gray spots) while searching for key ingredients. You need to mine to collect the corresponding ore.

Place the ingredients in the chest. Every time you collect a pile of cobblestone, for example, you should return to your temporary residence and place all 64 cobblestone blocks in the chest. This step ensures that the ingredients remain intact when you die.

Digging the foundation. Use a shovel and/or pickaxe to remove 10x10 square blocks from the area where you want to build a house.

You can always dig a smaller 10x10 foundation if you're short on time or materials.

Flooring. Wood is the most popular material for flooring, but this is your home—you can use whatever you want! Just remember that you will need about 100 blocks of material to lay the floor.

If you choose wood, you need to chop 25 wooden blocks and then craft them into a total of 100 wooden planks.

Build the wall. Other than temporary accommodation, house walls should be at least four blocks high. The easiest way to build a wall is to place it one block high around the outer edge of the foundation, then jump onto the wall, repeating this step until the wall is at least four blocks high.

Make sure you leave at least 2x1 space in the wall for the door.

Place torches inside the house. Before making the roof, you should place a torch so that the inside of the house is not pitch black. Torches are crafted by placing a stick and a piece of coal or charcoal in the crafting frame in your inventory.

You can select a torch in Minecraft PE or the console version by opening the crafting menu, then selecting the torch icon.

Torches also keep monsters away from you.

Make the roof. Build the top part of the wall by placing blocks on the inside of the blocks on top until the inside of the house is filled.

If you want a sloped roof, you can create stairs in the crafting table, place them on opposite sides of the wall, then sharpen them toward the center of the house until they touch each other. You will need to fill the space with wooden or stone blocks.

Make the front door. You can create three doors by placing six wooden plank blocks in the first two columns of the crafting table. To place a door, your house needs to have an entrance at least two blocks high and one block wide.

In Minecraft PE or console edition, you just need to open the crafting table and select the door icon.

Place the bed inside the house. "Dig" the bed using any tool or your fists, then step over it to place it in your inventory. You can place a bed in your house and sleep on it once to set up a respawn spot. At this point, your home is relatively complete.

Personalize the home

Create window. Dig a 2x2 space in the outside wall of the house to let sunlight shine inside. You can also dig holes in the roof to let in sunlight, but if you do that, rain will also fall in.

If you have a furnace and some fuel (such as coal or wood), you can create window glass by adding sand to the top of the furnace.

Make an extra room in the house. Place walls of cobblestone, wood, or other crafting materials inside the house to divide it into separate zones.

You can also add doors to these rooms if you want.

Add a walkway outside the house. Dig a one or two block wide path leading to a nearby point of interest (such as a lake or ore-rich area).

Build a second, smaller house for storage. Building an inventory is a good idea if you're playing on a harder difficulty than usual, as you'll have a place to store valuable materials that's quite far away from where you're going, thus reducing the risk of monsters exploding ( creeper) targets you and explodes stored materials.

Build walls around your house. The more blocks there are between the monster and you, the less monsters can come to your home. You can create a simple two-block high wall around your house and grounds, or you can create a fence using stakes in the crafting table.

Place torches around the house. Torches will reduce the risk of monsters coming to your home, so the more torches the better!
