Google Infinity Keyboard with 208 keys
Google Japan has launched a "weird" version of its keyboard that is a double-sided Mobius strip instead of the familiar rectangular shape to accommodate the 208 keys.
Google Japan says its new keyboard is a dual-sided keyboard with two front and back parts that connect to solve the problem of both 'inside and out'. This is different from their previous keyboard designs that only tried to solve the surface problem.
This quirky keyboard is made up of 26 modules, each with 8 mechanical keys, and is powered by USB-C. It also comes with trendy RGB LED lighting.
The keyboard has 208 keys, double the usual number, so it can be used for both English and Japanese at the same time.
According to Google Japan's description, this quirky keyboard can be used in many situations such as wearing it on the wrist, programming together in groups, or as a Christmas decoration.
Google Japan started its DYI keyboard projects more than 10 years ago with many "unique" versions such as super large keycaps that can be worn on the head, long like a katana folded into a cup. The devices created are all unrealistic, not for commercial purposes. However, every year, these projects of the team still receive a lot of attention and support from Internet users.
Google Japan has provided a 3D printed prototype of this double-sided infinity keyboard on GitHub, which users who want to try can download for free.
