Hoping to help people with clinical depression, Google is planning to do that. To accomplish this noble goal, the giant will add a questionnaire to specific search results. The idea is that people can take the first step to be diagnosed and hope that the searcher will begin treatment if they become ill.

According to information from Google, about a fifth of Americans experience clinical depression in their lives. However, only about 50% of them accept treatment. For that disorder, Google has released shocking statistics.

Searches like "depression" or "clinical depression" on Google have revealed a great amount of information for this situation. This provides information about disorders as well as symptoms and treatment options. Currently, Google is taking a step forward to help people with depression. The Knowledge Panel (Google) will include the option to 'Check if you're clinically depressed' - check if you have clinical depression. This will take you to a list of PHQ-9 questions designed to test the level of depression of searchers. This questionnaire is a proven clinical diagnostic tool that can be used by anyone.
