Gigabyte introduced a 14-inch ultrabook
Gigabyte's new ultrabooks with a thickness of 18.5-20.5mm and a weight of about 1.5 kg will be launched this summer at a price of about $ 1,000.
Computer manufacturer Gigabyte recently introduced its first ultrabooks at CeBIT 2012, the world's largest information technology exhibition taking place this week in Hannover (Germany).
Most compact ultrabooks now feature 13.3-inch screens, 1366x768 pixel resolution and integrated graphics cards. Gigabyte's U2442 ultrabook with U2442N and U2442V representatives has 14-inch screen, 1600x900 pixel resolution and is equipped with Nvidia GeForce discrete graphics card.
So these ultrabooks are not as thin as rivals but have a thickness of 18.5-20.5mm and weigh about 1.5 kg.
The device will be equipped with Core i5 or i7 third-generation Ivy Bridge processor from Intel. The U2442N will be equipped with a standard power processor with strong mobile performance, while the U2442V model will have a low power processor.
These new U2442 ultrabooks will have an optional 2GB discrete Nvidia GeForce GT 640M graphics card, suitable for gamers or graphics professionals.
It comes with a backlit keyboard, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0, Thunderbolt port options. Users can also choose SSD storage or HDD.
These new ultrabooks are expected to be launched this summer for around $ 1,000.
