Free chat and texting on FireFox browser
Just a few days after Facebook officially supported the mobile video call feature for Vietnamese users, the open source browser Mozilla Firefox also added free chat and messaging features for users.
All users need is now the latest Firefox browser on Windows.
Update: Firefox Hello has been removed from Firefox version 49, so if you are using or updating to higher versions of Firefox, you cannot use Firefox Hello anymore.
Here are a few alternatives to Firefox Hello that you can try:
- talky.io: Provide both video and screen sharing with WebRTC.
- web.ciscospark.com: Create rooms for video calls, group sharing and sharing.
- Appear.in: Group video calls up to eight people.
- meet.jit.si: Call and share screen groups using WebRTC.
Currently Mozilla is developing and improving WebRTC (Web Real-Time Communications), using the same basic technology as Hello, you can go to webrtc.org if you want to see it.
Free chat and messaging with Firefox Hello:
When installing or updating the latest version of Firefox, start up you will see the Firefox icon Hello at the end of the address bar as shown below, click on it to start the conversation:

The Firefox Hello dashboard displays, press the Start a conversation button to start the conversation:
The chat window and the initial message will look like the following:
If you want to chat directly with someone, you just need to Copy the link (will be in the form https://hello.firefox.com/vwWXz5ttLOs#5MfcI0AGAXB7-in7vZBt3g ) and share with them, this method does not require an account, means that 2 people can freely communicate with each other, provided that the other party must also use the Firefox version for the computer or Android phone:

When the other person joins the conversation, you will see the same video chat window on Facebook Video Call :

Besides, Firefox Hello has a nice feature, which is to share any window and tab that is open with the conversation. Click on the folder icon like the image below, choose arbitrary Tabs or Windows :

Very simple and easy, just need a stable Internet connection, Firefox browser on your Android computer or smartphone, you can comfortably chat with each other.
