Chat Facebook right on Firefox 17
In the recent Firefox 17 update, the Facebook Messenger feature has been fully integrated into the browser, making it easier for users of this social network to update news and chat with friends.
Here's how to enable users to enable this feature:
First, open Firefox 17, enter the keyword 'about: config' in the address bar> press Enter . Immediately, you will receive a warning dialog box about the potential danger to the application. However, please click the 'I'll be careful, i promise' button to ignore this message and continue your process.
Going back to the original configuration interface about: config , you continue to type in the search box for 'social.enable' . Immediately, Firefox will filter other settings and display the correct content with a social.enable name on the screen. At this point, simply double-click on this item to activate it. You should see that the value column of this social.enable line will change from 'false' to 'true'.
Here you will see immediately in the application interface (on the right) appears a small frame (Side Bar) dedicated to Facebook Messenger feature. Click the Log in button, then fill in your Facebook login information to start using the service.
Once successfully logged in, Firefox 17 users can use Facebook-specific icons right next to Firefox's search toolbar. You can also configure to receive new notifications right on the Desktop, toggle the Side Bar on and off to expand your work area, or even remove the Facebook integration feature if you don't want to use it anymore.
