Lilium flying cars run completely on electricity.
With part of the funding from the European Space Agency (ESA), Lilium Aviation has designed a type of civilian jet that has two-seat electrical operation based on landing technology. Vertical is currently being used for many military aircraft like the Harrier Jump Jet.
The complete prototype of the aircraft, called the Lilium Eagle, has a maximum speed of 186 mph, equivalent to nearly 300 km / h and can fly many miles of range for a full charge. In the future, Lilium Aviation wants to build a five-seater version of Lilium Eagle. Daniel Wiegand, co-founder and president of Lilium Aviation, said the five-seater Lilium Eagle will be able to travel at 300 km / h, fully charged after just an hour. At that time, the flight from Manhattan to John F. Kennedy Airport was only 5 minutes long and the cost was cheaper than taking a lot of taxis.
