Facebook introduces Workplace Rooms: Supports enterprise-level online conferencing

New video chat feature specific to Workplace platform.

Recently, Facebook has officially launched a completely new online conferencing support feature on Messenger messaging application called Messenger Rooms, which allows setting up Messenger group video calls up to 50 people at the same time, helping It's easier for people to communicate with each other, with support for both public and private calls.

Recently, the social networking giant continued to announce a new video chat feature exclusively for the Workplace platform, just as the service reached 5 million regular users since its launch in late 2016. Similar to Messenger Rooms, Workplace Rooms supports setting up virtual interactive space that allows 50 participants at the same time. Also, there is no set time limit for meetings and allows even people without a Workplace account to be able to join the meeting as through an 'invitation' from the organizer.

Basically, Workplace Rooms uses the same technology as Messenger Rooms, but is customized to better support business customers. This feature can be clearly seen through a series of new features developed to support the ability to work between large groups of users (within the company, between companies).

Live Producer is a new feature that allows live broadcast from a mobile device or computer, complete with the ability to share screens, polls, etc. Live Q&A is another new feature, support direct questions and answers between the meeting organizer and participants.

For users with hearing or other languages, Facebook will display live subtitles, translations and annotation edits. These features will be implemented in June and Workplace Rooms will be free to all Facebook Workplace users until December.

Workplace is a mobile application and web application designed to maintain team members (usually businesses). The service, also known as Facebook Work, provides features like Facebook Groups, Facebook Messenger, integrated video calls, access to social networking profiles, events and live video tools.
