Facebook launches Workplace Chat application that supports screen sharing for Windows
It seems that Facebook is becoming more serious with Workplace - its corporate collaboration platform. Workplace application allows people to create personal Facebook accounts and use Facebook tools to interact with their peers. Workplace owns all the features like News Feed, group, chat and online video. Now, Facebook is testing this application for Windows users.
In addition to the features available on the Workplace web experience, the Workplace Chat app also comes with a screen sharing support feature. Users can share the entire screen or just a specific desktop application they are using with others.

The Workplace Chat for Windows application includes the following features:
- Show notifications for users not to miss incoming messages.
- Support voice and video calls.
- Allow screen sharing.
- Easily view the latest notifications from the chat group.
- Support personal conversations and group chat.
Vanessa Chan, a Facebook spokesman, said: " This is one of the features that most customers demand, so we built it. The desktop application is still in beta and is being tested. Workplace customers are responding to their experience and we will try to improve the product before more widely deployed.
In addition, this Workplace Chat application does not require administrative rights, so anyone can install the application on their computer.
