Diskperf command in Windows
The diskperf command is included in Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 R2, and Windows 7 used to enable or disable physical or logical disk performance counters on machines computer running Windows 2000.
In Windows 2000, physical and logical disk performance counters are not enabled by default.

The diskperf command syntax
diskperf [-Y[D|V] | -N[D|V]] [computername] Option
Options Description-? Show contextual help. -Y Start all disk performance counters when the computer restarts. -YD Turn on the disk performance counter for physical drives when the computer restarts. -YV Turn on the disk performance counter for logical drives or storage drives when the computer restarts. -N Disable all disk performance counters when the computer restarts. -ND Disable all disk performance counters for the physical drive when the computer restarts. -NV Disables all disk performance counters for logical drives or storage drives when the computer restarts. Specify the name of the computer on which you want to enable or disable the disk performance counter.See more:
