Discover the mysterious primitive life of Aboriginal people in the Amazon jungle

Ricardo Stuckert, a photographer, unveiled a rare series of photos revealing the life of the primitive Kamaiurá tribe in the Amazon forest to the outside world to better understand one of the world's most mysterious tribes.

This tribe was first discovered in 1884 and has only about 500 members so far. They live in villages in Xingu area around Ipavu Lake, nearly 7 km from the Kuluene River. In the 1950s, the population of this tribe fell sharply due to epidemics. In order to prevent the spread of deadly epidemics, the Brazilian government has recognized its living area as a national reserve.

The life of the tribe is attached to the natural environment of the dense forest.

The main food of the Kamaiurá people is fish, porridge, pepper and bananas.

Both men and women of this tribe can dive proficiently underwater.They often swim in a waterfall in the Amazon basin.
