Discover new giant carnivorous dinosaurs, causing headaches for archaeologists

New archaeologists have discovered a new carnivorous dinosaur in the Patagonia fossil land, in South America. They are 6.5 meters long and have the characteristics of giant T-Rex dinosaurs, just like small predators like Velociraptor, living in the Cretaceous period, about 80 million years ago. Archaeologists are currently suffering from headaches because they don't know what kind of carnivorous dinosaurs belong.

New archaeologists have discovered a new carnivorous dinosaur in the Patagonia fossil land, in South America. They are 6.5 meters long and have the characteristics of giant T-Rex dinosaurs, just like small predators like Velociraptor , living in the Cretaceous period, about 80 million years ago. Archaeologists are currently suffering from headaches because they don't know what kind of carnivorous dinosaurs belong.

According to the study, this is the latest dinosaur discovered in the genus megaraptor, Murusraptor family.

"We know very little about the Murusraptor dinosaur," said archaeologist Rodolfo Coria, a member of the research team. Together with his colleague Professor Philip Currie from the University of Alberta, Coria gave some descriptions of the characteristics of this new dinosaur.

"From the same process of geological formation, we collected some fossil parts of the giant long-necked dinosaurs (sauropods) as well as fossil pine logs around that area. The area is home to many dinosaurs, crocodiles, turtles and some small animals, and we think that the carnivorous Murusraptor and their prey are the animals mentioned above "- Mr. Coria said.

Archaeologists found that skull fossils were discovered just recently developed, suggesting that the dinosaurs may be juveniles when they die.

What genus does this carnivorous dinosaur really belong to?

One side insists that this is a carnivore very close to tyrannosaurs. But others argue that dinosaur megaraptors are the last surviving members of the genus Allosaurus that are extinct.

Studies show that dinosaur megaraptors have similarities with the giant prey spinosaurs, which have inherited some of the characteristics of megalosauroid making it more difficult to determine their limbs.

Mr. Coria hopes future studies on the Murusraptor dinosaurs will decipher the mysteries of the family of megaraptor dinosaurs . "We are offering two solutions to find the answer to this problem. First, we will review all different species and build a new data set to avoid subjective perspectives on this problem " - Coria said.

The second way, according to Coria, is to "study ancient fossils from the Lower Cretaceous period or even the Jurassic period to find the ancestors of megaraptors".

"This will be an exciting new discovery about the mysterious family of one of the giant dinosaurs. We have gathered the skeleton of a single entity. And this will help them. I draw conclusions about their relationship with other animals, " Professor Currie said.
