Intel has just announced that its new processors, Core i3 and Core i5, will be officially included in notebooks starting in January 2010. The latest product will be on display at the CES technology fair. Intel also said that Core i5 chips will be mainstream in their strategy, while Core i3 is for mainstream models.

The biggest difference between Core i3 and i5 is that the Core i5 processor has one more feature called Turbo Boost. This feature allows it to automatically overclock (overclock the CPU) in certain situations. Both Core i3 and i5 are equipped with hyper-threading technology that makes working efficiently and significantly faster than previous chips in heavy programs that need to use a lot of processor resources.
