Core i laptop dominates the Vietnamese market

Most consumers choose laptops using Core i chips instead of old Core 2 Duo because of higher performance, cool running, smooth and reasonable price of about 11 million VND.

According to statistics from many stores in Hanoi, Core i Duo laptop sales account for more than half, Core 2 Duo products are less interested by customers because of old technology.

Representatives of Digiworld in Hanoi said that in November, 16,000 laptop models were sold, of which Core i3 machines accounted for 52% and Core i5 was 10%.

Currently HP, Acer, Dell . have limited the export of Core 2 Duo laptops and will completely replace them with new chip machines in the near future.

The current price of Core i3 laptops is much more attractive than 3 months ago, falling below 11 million VND, typically Asus A42F-VX005 , Acer 4740 … Anh Quan, managing an electronic supermarket on the road Xuan Thuy (Hanoi), said that if the free USD price is not so high as it is now, Core i3 laptop price is only about 9 million dong.

The higher-end Core i5 machines are aimed at those who need to play games, run graphics and also reduce prices sharply, from VND 12.6 million or more.

This chip was originally Core i3 and had some features cut to get a more attractive price. According to the tests, the P6000 runs cool and offers higher performance than Core 2 Duo at the same speed. The product is also chosen by many people because it handles essential applications such as surfing the web, watching Full HD movies, HDMI ports, playing popular games .

Netbooks in Vietnam are of little interest, accounting for less than 10% of all laptops sold. The reason is said that because the design is not rich, only the advantage is light, the remaining Atom chip for low performance, small screen, narrow keyboard hard to press and the price is not much cheaper than the P6000 type. .
