AnTuTu has just released its latest smartphone performance rankings as of the end of June 2022. Let's find out which phones are on the list.

 

What is AnTuTu Ranking?

AnTuTu is known as the most popular Android benchmarking software among mobile users today. Through this software, you will have an overview of the parameters, configuration, and strength of the device based on specific scores.

Through AnTuTu, you can measure the performance related to GPU, CPU, RAM or storage. The CPU component will be tested through performance tests while the GPU will be evaluated by its 2D and 3D graphics processing capabilities. AnTuTu will evaluate whether the device is really as powerful and stable as the manufacturer introduced. The scores will be aggregated through individual tests.

Note: There are currently two types of AnTuTu rankings, one for mobile devices in the Chinese market and one for phone models in the international market. Through this article, we will explore both of these rankings.

Top 10 most powerful flagships

 

Vivo has become a popular Chinese phone maker after Huawei stumbled. Its products have improved a lot in terms of performance as well as design.

Equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, vivo X90 Pro + has an average score of 1.29 million, making it the most powerful smartphone on the market today. In addition, the main camera of vivo X90 Pro + is equipped with a 1-inch Sony IMX 989 sensor, elevating this product line. Although Xiaomi has also used this sensor for phones, it has not yet launched it in the international market.

iQOO - a subsidiary of vivo ranked 2nd in the list with the iQOO 11 phone model. This product line reached 1.27 million antutu points thanks to the use of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and LPDDR 5X + UFS 4.0.

From 3rd to 10th place, we can see devices using Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. In which gaming phones have a slight advantage due to their superior configuration, so ROG Phone is the name that reaches 3rd place.

The first 6 phones in the mid-high-end segment are all equipped with the Dimensity 8100 chip, while the Snapdragon 870 chip only ranked 7th or lower. Even the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip launched in 2022 is not qualified to enter the rankings.

Mi 12T is a product line launched in the second half of 2022 in the international market. This is currently the leading phone model in the mid-high-end segment. The advantage of Mi 12T is that it inherits the excellent design of the Xiaomi 12 series with a more premium appearance and the ability to take sharp, vivid photos compared to other phone models in the same price range.

In second place is the realme GT Neo 3, a phone that focuses on the youth market with a trendy design and has many collaboration versions with other brands such as the Naruto-style phone version.

The third spot goes to the Poco X4 GT, which upgrades the X3 GT and fixes the negative impact on the Poco brand caused by the loss of the Poco X4 Pro.

The Poco X4 GT's screen supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision, and it also has a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, good color contrast and maximum brightness, and the display effect is among the best in its price range.

MediaTek used to dominate the mid-range segment, but after the appearance of the Snapdragon 7 series, everything changed. The current ranking only has the shadow of chips like Snapdragon 778G and Snapdragon 780G.

Top 10 most powerful flagships

In the Chinese market, iQOO 11 Pro is the name that tops the rankings. The surprising thing is that the second place belongs to Xiaomi Redmi K60 Pro and vivo X90 Pro + only stops at the third place.

In the mid-high-end segment, the No. 1 position belongs to iQOO's NEo 7 SE, which is a product line using the new Dimensity 8200 chip launched in December. The OPPO Reno9 Pro 5G follows closely in 3rd place.

It is worth noting that the Xiaomi Redmi K60 does not appear on the list, even though this phone runs the very powerful Dimensity 8200. AnTuTu explains that the reason comes from their team not yet completed the test for the K60 because this smartphone was launched at the end of December.

Finally, in the mid-range segment, the most powerful phone is the iQOO Z6 and its Snapdragon 778G+ chipset. The second and third places belong to the Honor 80 and Xiaomi Civi 2. This ranking has witnessed the dominance of early 7 Snapdragon chips such as the 778G and Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. But in the mid-high-end segment, it is the Dimensity 8200 and 8100 that dominate. Perhaps Qualcomm is gradually losing mid-high-end phones to MediaTek.
