AnTuTu explains why Google deleted it from the Play Store
Yesterday, we wrote an article about the popular AnTuTu performance measurement app removed from the Google Play Store. AnTuTu 3D Bench, AnTuTu Benchmark and AITUTU Benchmark applications have been removed by Google.
The reason is thought to be related to Chinese developer Cheetah Mobile. Earlier, more than 600 Cheetah Mobile apps were removed from the Play Store by Google, for violating advertising regulations and annoying users. There is some evidence that Cheetah Mobile may also be the owner of the AnTuTu app.

Today, global marketing director of AnTuTu - Amelie Liu responded to this incident:
'AnTuTu received an email notification from Google, on March 7. The message content stated that AnTuTu is one of the developers related to Cheetah Mobile, and all AnTuTu applications have been removed. from Play Store. But we think this is a misunderstanding, AnTuTu has nothing to do with Cheetah Mobile.
AnTuTu was founded in 2011, before Cheetah Mobile and is one of the earliest developers on the Play Store. Cheetah Mobile has invested and became one of our shareholders since 2014. However, we still hold a significant number of shares and completely decide the company's operations, as well as independence. with Cheetah Mobile. Cheetah Mobile has never tampered with our Play Store apps and accounts, and the AnTuTu app has never shown any Cheetah Mobile ads.
We believe that Google misunderstood, because we bought and used legal services from Cheetah Mobile. That is also the reason our privacy policy link leads to Cheetah Mobile's address.
We hope that Google will resolve this misunderstanding as soon as possible. '
Currently AnTuTu still allows direct download of APK files from their website.
