A sample of Nokia's Meltemi operating system is available
Few people know that after the death of MeeGo, Nokia secretly developed a separate operating system that also uses the Linux kernel (similar to Android) with the name Meltemi.

MeeGo used to have a brother in the lower segment
Meltemi is an operating system developed by Nokia to replace Symbian S40 on the low-end segment. With many unique features, Meltemi should have been able to save both the MeeGo upperclassman and the Nokia high-end segment. However, in 2012, CEO Stephen Elop officially launched Meltemi to switch to Asha platform - simultaneously cutting down on a number of positions in the Finnish company.
According to leaked information at the time, Nokia completed a prototype of Meltemi. The rumor has now been confirmed: a Nokia product collection group on social networks vk.com has revealed photos of Meltemi.
The leaked photos showed that the kernel of Meltemi was completed in June 2011. Later, the Finnish company never mentioned the name "Meltemi" through official channels. This is unfortunate, because the name Meltemi is very poetic: the north wind blows to the Aegean Sea. Unfortunately, these "northern winds" could not save Nokia: in the past year, the Finnish company has officially returned to Microsoft and the Nokia brand on mobile phones has also been killed .
