Richard Shim, a DisplaySearch analyst, said 13.3-inch MacBook Pro Retina models could start production in the third quarter of this year. However, Apple has not had a clear plan. Some sources of DigiTimes also said Apple is asking partners to provide 13.3-inch MacBook Pro Retina components this quarter.
According to Cnet, with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels, the pixel density of 13.3-inch MacBook Pro Retina will be 227 ppi, slightly higher than the 220 ppi of the 15.4-inch model.
MacBook Pro Retina was introduced from the beginning of June this year. This product is equipped with Retina screen with a resolution of 2,880 x 1,800 pixels on an area of 15.4 inches, making pixel density higher than HDTV. The 15.4-inch model is equipped with Ivy Bridge Core i7 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, 8GB of RAM, 256GB SSD and Kepler GT 650M Nvidia graphics card with 1GB VRAM.
