Typing, abbreviation in Word, Excel with AutoCorrect
Speed up text editing is what everyone wants. There are many software to help you practice typing with 10 fingers to speed up text typing. However, in this article, I share with you how to increase typing speed without practicing software, which is how to use AutoCorrect shortcut in Word, Excel.
For example, here make shortcut keys on Word
Step 1: On the card File -> Option:
Step 2: The Word Option window appears, select Proofing -> AutoCorrect Options .
Step 3: The AutoCorrect window appears, select the AutoCorrect tab and enter the following contents:
- Replace: Enter the acronym.
- Section With: Enter the content to display instead of the abbreviation.
Then click Add to add the abbreviation into AutoCorrect:
The results have added the acronym into AutoCorrect:
Step 4: Return to the text file and type the phrase ttpm, press the space bar and the phrase Dexterity Software is displayed:
In case you want to use shortcut keys for special characters to perform the same operation. The example here uses the phrase tt instead of smileys:
When you type in text in the text editor, the smileys results show:
Alternatively, you can use alternate phrases for mathematical characters by clicking the Math AutoCorrect tab
When you want to use abbreviations instead of special characters that are not included in AutoCorrect, for example, if you want to add characters in Word special characters, insert the characters into the text as usual:
The next step is to highlight the character -> right click and select Copy:
Perform the operation again on the AutoCorrect select Math AutoCorrect -> character looking phrase alternative is shown in item With the rest you just type the abbreviation for the characters that perform Add acronyms as average often:
Returning to the text file when you type in the phrase nena the results of the special characters are displayed:
So you can create words, abbreviations for long and frequently used content. However, when you want to type the phrase that is displayed, not the content that needs to be replaced, delete AutoCorrect created shortcut by selecting that phrase -> click Delete:
To type off in Excel you perform the same operation.
