There is an official Facebook application for Windows 8.1

Microsoft's Windows 8.1 operating system has received a very important application: Facebook social networking application. Microsoft has revealed this application for a long time, at the Build Conference in June, and now the Facebook application is officially available on the Windows Store, just before Windows 8.1 launches users.

The Facebook application for Windows 8.1 has all the features users expect, with status cards, photos, check-ins, next to the chat interface pinned to the right-hand side.

Facebook also added a friend request, mailbox (inbox), notification counter to the top right with touch-friendly buttons. In addition, a bar on the right gives users quick access to news feeds, messages, events, friends lists .

Facebook application also supports Share Charm, sharing feature from Charm bar of Windows 8 and 8.1. It allows you to automatically attach photos that you are viewing on Facebook to email. Like many other applications on Windows 8.1, Facebook also has a built-in search function.

The Facebook application is now available on the Windows Store and Windows 8 users can also find it when opening the app store, but it seems that Microsoft requires that it upgrade to 8.1 for download.
