If that is true, Facebook will mark a major shift from the company's original goal of connecting people; long ago, naming real names is central to the Facebook social network model. According to the New York Times newspaper , the application will allow Facebook users to hide their real names, and may remain anonymous to help them feel more comfortable debating topics with others.

Currently, no one knows what this new application is, or whether it is completely built so that all social network users can remain anonymous. Until now, Facebook's own apps have different success stories. For example, Facebook's Messenger application is very popular, but Facebook Home is a failure.

However, this anonymous application seems to promise to be supported by many users, because forums and Internet communities now prefer to use nick names rather than using real names. Obviously, the new application will not change Facebook's overall strategy, but it can be an exciting experience for both the company and more than 1 billion Facebook users.
